SITE UPDATES AND CHANGES PLUS OTHER THINGS
Today I was focused on some catching up with the website as I had fallen behind due to migration from my old host to a new one. The result of that migration is that the site is now hosted on Australian servers and is significantly quicker to load than my old host, which I am sure most of you will appreciate.
I also had some on-going issues with some pages not displaying properly, in particular the tabbed Playlists page. I think I’ve fixed that by disabling a server-side plug-in that was causing the page to load incorrectly. If you don’t see tabs there when you look at the page, drop me a message.
As you’re probably well-aware, there’s been a lot of changes around the world in recent weeks, particularly outside of Australia, and this has impacted my use and enjoyment of social media, and I have been in the process at looking at alternative options there, and may consider using Facebook less into the future, and concentrate on the keeping you in the loop here and via other social media platforms, either way, I will announce any changes on this website.
I’ve been working ahead on the 1 hour shows to try and allow myself more time to do other things. The last few months have literally involved something Powerzone related going on my life several times a day. I want to be able to do a few other tasks occasionally and also have some down time.
In saying that, I am still committed to producing the show, both in the 1 hour format and the 3 hour stream on Saturday nights. The latter I do tend to enjoy more because of the interaction in the chat with you but also because it’s a bit more of a free-for-all where I can play the extended mixes, not just focus on a couple of genres of music and so on. I am also acutely aware I need to freshen up the Powerzone imaging between the songs, but haven’t been able to commit the time, same goes for some on-line only specials that I am super keen to do more of, especially things that I wouldn’t normally play on the 1 hour or 3 hour shows.
Thanks so much to you for your support. There’s many Powerzone listeners and stations that play the show that have helped to get it on more stations and in more people’s ears than ever before. I am thoroughly grateful for each of you and this show would not be possible without you.
